University-Industry Liaison Office
(UILO) is the link between industry and the university’s
research
resources and technology opportunities. UILO builds strategic
partnerships with industry, targeting opportunities for collaborative
research and commercialization. Its high measure of expertise and
breadth of services enable it to identify tailored solutions to
industry needs in the life sciences, physical sciences and information
technology sectors.
The university continues to support MRT by providing research and
technical services, pilot plant testing, and facilities.
UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY
A partner with the University of Calgary, University Technologies
International, Inc. (UTI) has a mandate to provide services on all
matters related to technology commercialization and commercialization
of intellectual property. The U of C was its initial client and UTI has
since added numerous other research institutions including the
University of Lethbridge, Calgary Regional Health Authority and major
corporate clients. In addition UTI assists a growing number of
research-involved large and small businesses and
institutions.
UTI is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in technology
commercialization, creating business opportunities from scientific
innovation.
UTI holds the patent to the auto-thermal version of FBMR (Fluidized Bed
Membrane Reactor) technology and has granted MRT worldwide exclusive
rights to practice, license, and commercialize the technology over its
entire range of applications.
